The Pride of Longbridge Rally was held at Cofton Park in Birmingham on Saturday 14th April.
The event is now into it seventh year and was visited for the second time by Medievil which looks set to become an annual occurrence in the club calendar. Hundreds of vehicles joined together directly opposite where they were born. Cars in attendance to name a few included Austins, Wolseleys, Rovers, MGs and Triumphs. There was of course a good congregation of minis including four of our best.
Rich Meade attended in his Austin Champ. Parked up amongst the Medievil minis it certainly received some attention from the visiting crowds. Rich was especially happy as it has been sighted by a magazine for a possible feature at some point in the future.
Particular highlights this year for Dave G who did not attend last year were the Austin Sevens (now on the shopping list), the shear array of cars on show and seeing a metro over –heat. It wasn’t as bad as the BMW on the way home down the motorway though which was billowing smoke across three carriageways. Also to note was the exceedingly good mocha!
Medievil thanks the Austin & Longbridge Federation Organising Committee for their efforts in successfully running the Rally. And in case you missed it this you missed it this year the date has already been announced for next year as April 13th 2013.
